A NEW TECHNIQUE
When we try to calm ourselves with typical meditation techniques—to focus exclusively on the present moment—our thoughts about the past and future come racing in. We try to push those thoughts aside and release them. We try to let go. Then we feel frustrated. Why? Because time doesn't work that way. Time is not exclusive of the past or future.
